This weekend is the March For Our Lives march all around the United States.

The time has come for the older generations (Older being anyone past high school…) to quit looking at what these kids are doing and saying things like “Good for them”,”Man, these kids, huh?” and Yep, it’s time to quit treating them like little kids your shepherding over in the backyard as they’re playing. It’s time to get off your butt and make a difference somehow!

Look, if they can make a difference then we can too! I go back to my original sentence…

GET OFF YOUR BUTT

Find a way to do something, say something, donate something…time-money-expertise-etc., imagine something that can make a difference…even a small one.

THEN DO IT!

If you agree with their point of view-

JOIN WITH THEM

If you think you have better ideas or ways to accomplish the goals-

SHARE THEM

If you disagree with their stance, then find a way to promote your views that are respectful and honest.

Here’s the thing, this is about saving people’s lives, about making the present a better place to live both now and in the future, about understanding that everything around this is complex and filled with passion, about finding through all of this, respect, honorable intentions and open-mindedness. If we accomplish that, then we also find a way to accomplish our goals.
